The arrival of HVO100 at the AS 24 multi-energy station in Plessis-Pâté in September 2024 marks the start of AS 24's network roll-out in France, with more than 15 stations planned for 2025.

AS 24 aims to meet the growing needs of customers in terms of decarbonization. As HVO100 is a reliable and immediate energy solution, AS 24 has been developing the marketing of this biofuel since 2020, with its very first station distributing it in Sweden. To date, 100 stations in 11 European countries offer HVO100 distribution.

What is HVO100 fuel?

HVO stands for “Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil”. HVO100 is a fuel of 100% renewable origin, made from vegetable raw materials, used cooking oil and hydrotreated and isomerized animal fats and waste, giving it the same chemical structure as diesel. It can be used to replace, blend or alternate with standard diesel, without engine modification, offering great flexibility of use.

What are the energy benefits of HVO100?

  • 60% to 90% reduction in CO2 emissions over the entire product life cycle (depending on the origin of the raw materials used in production; reduction measured on a well-to-wheel cycle)
At least 20% reduction in fine-particle emissions
4-5% reduction in tailpipe CO2 emissions
29% average reduction in nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions

How can a haulier make the most of his HVO100 purchase?

Aware of the challenges facing the road transport sector, AS 24 supports its customers refueling with HVO100 by providing them with a sustainability information document.
