Since 1 January 2025, Denmark has introduced a new toll system, KmToll, which applies to certain major roads in the country, totalling more than 10,900 km. All trucks over 12 tonnes must be equipped with a satellite telebadge or buy an electronic ticket. This system replaces the Eurovignette The Øresund Bridge (linking Denmark and Sweden) and the Storebælt Bridge are subject to tolls for trucks over 3.5 tonnes.

HGV TOLLS WITH AS 24 IN DENMARK: HOW DOES IT WORK?

Rates (€/km) vary according to four criteria: 

  • Vehicle weight class 
  • CO2 emission class 
  • Number of kilometres 
  • Routes (environmental zones crossed). 

You can buy a KmToll electronic ticket for the desired period (daily, monthly, etc.) using your bank card. 

The KmToll electronic ticket cannot be used to collect tolls on sections with barriers, such as the Øresund bridge and the Storebælt bridge.

For vehicles between 3.5t and 12t.

For vehicles of 12t and over.

 

For the Øresund and Storebælt bridges, trucks between 3.5 and 12 tonnes can be equipped with the OBU PASSango Europe or EuroPilot.

For HGVs weighing 12t or more, AS 24 proposes to use the OresundPay satellite telebadge, which covers the entire Danish toll system (including the Storebælt and Øresund bridges).
